Scientific seminar held during the 'Year of Urban Planning and Architecture'

Within the framework of the implementation of the 'Action Plan' announced by the Presidential Decree on declaring 2026 the 'Year of Urban Planning and Architecture' in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ombudsman's South Regional Center and the ANAS’ Lankaran Regional Scientific Center jointly organized a scientific seminar themed 'Heydar Aliyev and the Urban Planning Model of Independent Azerbaijan: From Sustainable Development to Victory'.

During his speech, Ziya Ismayilov, Head of the Center, spoke about human rights in the context of urban planning and architecture and relevant national and international legal mechanisms, as well as national reforms taken to preserve our material and cultural heritage.

Furthermore, the participants were told that the Ombudsman initiated launching “Human Rights Month," at the national level, and a series of legal educational events were organized across the country.
