An award ceremony was held for volunteers completing their service at the Ombudsman Office

A meeting was held with a group of volunteers who completed their volunteer activities at the Office of Ombudsman of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, detailed information was provided about the volunteer program initiated by Sabina Aliyeva.

Furthermore, information was provided on the state policy to support youth development in the country, and it was noted that a number of young people who had volunteered at the Ombudsman Office had been admitted to master’s programs at well-known local and international universities, while others were employed in public and private entities.

The experience and knowledge gained by the volunteers during the program were also discussed, including the international training and development opportunities made available to them. The views of the volunteers were likewise heard, and they were wished success in their future endeavors and provided with relevant recommendations.

At the end, volunteers, who successfully and actively completed the program on the protection of human rights and freedoms were awarded certificates on behalf of the Ombudsman in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Volunteer Activity.”

It should be noted that, within the framework of the volunteer program, graduates of Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, and Western Caspian University, as well as the Economics and Humanities College affiliated with Baku State University, completed internships in various structural units of the institution and gained close familiarity with the Ombudsman’s activities in the field of the protection and promotion of human rights.
