The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, convened with Ms. Marcela Čavojová and Ms. Zuzana Matějčková, members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, who are on an official visit in our country.
During the meeting, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva emphasized the existence of close relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia.
The Ombudsman warmly recalled her recent meeting with her Slovak colleague, who visited our country, and informed the guests about the friendly relations established between the ombuds institutions of Azerbaijan and Slovakia.
The Ombudsman provided the guests with detailed information about the institution’s mandate and its activities in the field of the protection of human rights and freedoms.
The Ombudsman spoke about her mandate that was expanded over the years, monitoring groups on ensuring the right to equality and preventing discrimination created, and relevant best practices.
Members of the Slovak National Council, Marcela Čavojová and Zuzana Matějčková, in turn, thanked the Ombudsman for the warm welcome and noted that multifaceted relations between the two countries continue to develop successfully, while Slovak companies are actively participating in the reconstruction and reconstruction work in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Throughout the meeting, the parties broadly exchange their views on issues of mutual interest, and discussed prospects for future cooperation.
