A meeting was held at the Ombudsman Office with a group of civil servants from Kazakhstan, who are participants of a training and internship program organized by the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for master's students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, heads of departments of the Ombudsman Office, Aynur Hamidova and Lamiya Zeynalova, as well as sector heads Raida Amirbeyova and Ayten Tarverdiyeva, provided the guests with detailed information about the activities of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman in the field of protecting human rights and freedoms.
The participants were informed about the Ombudsman’s National Preventive Mechanism mandate, the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and children, efforts to ensure the right to access information, as well as the functions of the independent monitoring mechanism implemented to guarantee equality and prevent discrimination.
Afterwards, a video prepared by the Ombudsman Office on ensuring the right to access information was presented. The participants’ questions were answered, and an exchange of views took place.
