An educational event on the protection of the right to access information was held in Yevlakh city

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan organized another educational event in Yevlakh on the protection of the right to access information.

Speaking at the event, Lamiya Zeynalova, Head of the Department for Protection of the Right to Information of the Ombudsman Office, and Veli Guliyev, Head of the Analysis and Monitoring Unit within the Department, provided detailed information on the main provisions of the Law "On Access to Information," the responsibilities of information owners, the rules for considering information requests, and response deadlines, as well as the practical application of the requirements of the legislation.

The Ombudsman's extensive activities and awareness-raising initiatives to protect the right to information were also highlighted.

At the end of the event, a video clip was demonstrated. The participants were provided with educational printed materials and methodological tools about the right to access information, and the importance of strengthening cooperation between state institutions and the Ombudsman Office was emphasized in order to more effectively ensure the right to access information.
