The Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted an Internship Prep Meeting, titled “Preparing Students for Internships and Meeting with Labor Market Representatives: Recommendations, Guidelines, and Proposals,” in order to support students’ internship readiness and their successful integration into the labor market.
Mugalib Mahmudov, Head of the Legal Education of the Office of Ombudsperson of Azerbaijan, spoke about the role of AUL International Relations, regional studies, and translation in the labor market. The attendees were informed about the internship opportunities with the Ombudsman, the impact of the practical knowledge and skills on future professional careers, and the key competencies required for recruitment to relevant state institutions.
He also emphasized that the Ombudsman’s comprehensive activities to restore human rights and freedoms violated by state bodies, municipalities, and other institutions and their officials, as well as to prevent further violations, play an important role in enhancing students’ legal awareness and legal culture. It was noted that the information presented on cooperation with international organizations, national human rights institutions, and civil society organizations contributes significantly to this process.
The event also provided practical recommendations on labor market requirements.
