A training on the "Protection of the right of access to information" was held at the State Employment Agency

At the initiative of the Ombudsperson, Sabina Aliyeva, a training on the “Protection of the right of access to information” was held for managerial staff and employees of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

The head of the relevant department within the Ombudsperson’s Office, Lamiya Zeynalova, provided the trainees with broad information about the national and international legal framework protecting the right to information and the duties of state authorities and other information holders in the relevant field. 

Afterwards, the employees of the ombuds institution made presentations about the supervisory function of the Ombudsperson under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Access to Information” and the authority to impose administrative penalties for law violations.   

An exchange of views was held during the interactive event; the questions about the executive mechanism of the law, and other issues raised by the trainees, were answered by the employees of the Ombudsperson’s Office.

In conclusion, online resources about the right to information and the print educational publications were generated at the initiative of the Ombudsperson.
