A legal educational event was held in Samukh district on "Ensuring the right of access to information"

With the joint organization of the Western Regional Center of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Samukh District Executive Power, a legal educational event was held in Samukh District on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the National Press and within the framework of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" on "Ensuring the right of access to information."

The event was attended by the deputy head of the Samukh District Executive Power, the head of the social-political and humanitarian affairs department Kamala Khalilova, the head of the Western Regional Center of the Ombudsman Sabuhi Abbasov, heads of departments, enterprises and public representatives.

At the event, the participants were informed about the activities of the Ombudsman in the direction of protecting human rights and freedoms. It was brought to attention that within the framework of the powers established by the Constitutional Law "On Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the Law "On Access to Information", the activity of the Commissioner is continued in the direction of ensuring the right to access information and conducting educational work in this field.

At the end of the event, opinions were exchanged on the topic, and the questions of the participants were answered.
