The participants of the International Symposium visited the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs.

The participants of the International Symposium of Ombudsmen on the theme “Strengthening Rule of Law: The Role of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions,” dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” and 18 June – Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs.

Participants in the ceremony first arrived at the Alley of Honor, where they laid a wreath and placed fresh flowers in front of the grave of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of our people, and the architect and founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, to honor his memory.

The memory of the prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated with respect, and flowers were laid on her grave.

The forum participants also visited the Alley of Martyrs, respectfully commemorating the heroes of Azerbaijan who had fallen for the freedom and sovereignty of our country, and laid flowers on their graves.

The guests were given detailed information about the history of the Alley of Martyrs.
