The Ombudsman Office held a meeting with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population

The Office of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman held a meeting with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, focusing on enhancing cooperation in handling citizens’ applications and ensuring more effective protection of social rights.

The Deputy MLSPP, Hidayat Abdullayev, the Head of the Ombudsman Office, Aydin Safikhanli, as well as heads of relevant structural units of both institutions and other responsible officials took part at this meeting.

During the meeting, the parties held extensive discussions on the examination of applications on social rights received by both institutions, the joint resolution of challenges encountered in this area, enhancing citizen satisfaction, directions for legal awareness-raising, and a number of other issues.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the need of enhancing the existing exchange of information between the institutions and to conduct awareness-raising activities in the field of human rights promotion to ensure more effective cooperation in the aforementioned areas.
