Ombudsman's Representatives Met with Returnees

As a result of gradual and coordinated measures undertaken by the Government of Azerbaijan, 13 citizens of Azerbaijan (6 women and 7 children) were repatriated from the Syrian Arab Republic on October 6, 2026.

Ombudsman’s employees held a meeting with these returnees, who were accommodated at the relevant facility of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

During the conversations held with the mothers and their children, as well as with children deprived of parental care; their condition was assessed, and recommendations for their rehabilitation and protection of their rights were made.

Furthermore, the returnees were informed about how to apply to the Ombudsman.

During the meeting, the Ombudsman’s employees were provided with detailed information regarding the services rendered to the returnees.
